These 4 months since surgery have not been easy. There are been peaks and valleys along the way. But I am FINALLY 100% feeling recovered!!
On my trip to Kauai, Hawaii over the last week I feel like I had a total revelation. This life is what I make it and I will never, ever shrink into the corner again or sit on the side lines again.
My accomplishments during my trip:
*I wore shorts in public for the first time in almost a decade
* I swam in public without shorts on, bathing suit only for the first time in a decade
*Not only did I ditch the shorts but I strutted down that beach in my suit (with a hot hawaiian on my arm, that always helps)
*I Indiana Jones- type climbed down the side of a waterfall using ropes and vines to get to a waterfall people photograph but dont dare to ascend
*Even after a day of scaling hills, kayaking, swimming, and surfing I did not have ONE ache or pain, in fact I felt so invigorated!!
*I lost 4lbs during my trip which brings me to...OVERWEIGHT!!!!
It only gets better from here and I am thankful EVERY DAY that I did this!!!!!
